We fund the ideas nobody asked for.
Why Combinator is the world's first inverse incubator. Twice a year we select the worst startup ideas on Earth, question the founders' judgment in public, and help crowdfund the winners into existence — so they can fail in production, where failure belongs.

The program
- Apply. Two minutes. Name, email, your worst idea. A demo makes it worse, which makes it better.
- We publicly question your judgment. Selected ideas are posted for the internet to admire, with your name attached — or not. Your call.
- The internet votes. Each batch, the idea voted least marketable, least necessary, and least defensible is declared Funded™.
- It gets built. Regrettably. We help the winning founder launch a crowdfunding campaign and promote it until the idea, against everyone's better judgment, exists.
Founders love us
“I applied ironically. The internet funded it. I now run a company that ships individual Lego bricks to your enemies' hallway floors, and I have never been more afraid of my own success.”
FAQ
- Is this affiliated with Y Combinator?
- No. This is a parody. They fund the future; we crowdfund the regrettable. Please do not sue us.
- What do you invest?
- $0 for 7% of nothing. We consider this a fair valuation of the ideas we receive.
- What do I actually get if my idea is selected?
- Public exposure, a spot in the batch, our full promotional support for your crowdfunding campaign, and a rejection letter suitable for framing either way.
- Can I apply with a good idea?
- It will be rejected for being fundable.
- Is this a joke?
- Our lawyers have asked the same thing.
